Still not taken these and prescribed weeks ago 😪 so scared of side effects ( and too scared to take flecanide when in an episode ) especially after the last ones ! If I don’t take these will I go into heart failure ?

Uncontrolled AF can lead to heart failure so take the tablets. They are given to help you.

As john and Bob say take the tablets - stop worrying about the side effects. I am on Nebivolol and they are one of the better beta blockers, they seem to have less side effects. I have AF and HF and have had a few different medications over the 5 years of having this, some have been fine some have not, so those that are not have been changed. Some side effects you can live with, if I had not taken my medications when diagnosed I am sure I would probably not be here now, 5 years later. You will be okay.

Hi Supernerogirl :-) I have been taking Nebivolol for almost 2 years and count myself very lucky I have been prescribed them and not one of the other beta blockers that cause muscle aches and tiredness. I haven't had any problems from taking them.

I am on both no problems you will feel much better on them and protect your heart from AF , please do yourself a big favour and take them I was worried about flecainde but it's completely got rid of my AF been on both for a year

I take mine in the morning but my cardiologist says either is ok as long as it's a regular pattern

After being on several different beta blockers over the years I have found Nebivolol one of the best for controlling AF and least side effects. Give it a try you won't regret it.

Aspirin 75 mg been in this since2010 as had a stroke . But I do forget I’m

So forget ful memory is poor 😩

I changed from Bisoprolol to Nebivolol nad had no issues. Does the same job with no side efgfects. If these drugs are prescribed you should be taking them. Dont mess about with your heart.

Are you in USA? Aspirin tends not to be used as an anticoagulant in the UK?

Start today and we can compare notes, as I have switched to Nebivolol today. At the moment my resting heart rate is 88 bpm but I am expecting a few bumpy days.

Ok sounds like a plan I’ll take it tonight as my heart rate has been at- 130 today but steady no skipped catch up in a few days 🙏

Hi I too worry about side effects of medication. I like you was afraid to take flecainide and did nt tolerate it ... but after a prolonged and hospitalised episode of fast Af last year I was prescribed flecainide 50 mg twice a day with bisoprolol 1.25 once a day and so far have had no episodes. Only some small flutters which I think the flecainide controls. I have been told by my cardiologists that the beta blocker is necessary because it controls the rate if I did have and episode. The side effects I have seems to be more related to the beta blocker than the flecainide e.g. slow plus, tiredness and cold extremities . I hope this helps. Hope you overcome your anxieties and get everything under control .
