Well after having an echo and telling me something wasn't right and saying my heart is not contracting enough (very stressful) to a nuclear profusion stress test that said I need an angiography it showed signs if coronary disease.
Now finally getting my cardiac MRI results back saying that my heart is structurally and functioning normally. Which is a massive relief.
I can't tell you the worry and stress I have had thinking about it constantly.
So now just the angiography to see how badly the arteries are blocked I guess? I blame my mam for eggs beans and chips constantly as a kid in the 70's lol. I told her that and she laughed and said I wouldn't eat veg.
At least that is sortable and hopefully put me on the correct treatment.
P.s I am eating much more healthy now. Mackerel, salmon, nuts, veg and fruit. My body is in shock!

Hi Paul, lots of good news in your post, and great to hear you now can relax and not be so stressed. We all know the horrible chronic stress that follows us with heart problems. Keep up the healthy eating plan and I look forward to hearing how your angiogram goes. Best wishes ☘️
It's horrible isn't it when you're led to believe you have something medically wrong! All the stress, worry and lack of sleep! We shouldn't be told things like that until its 100% proved correct. So glad to hear that all is well.
I absolutely agree my friend. They have sent me two letters, 1, saying my left ventrical is not functioning properly. This was from an echo where the pictures were very poor and couldn't really see enough to work out ejection fraction etc. 2, saying I have coronary disease.
No person to talk to, just letters landing on doorstep.
Now I get an MRI result saying "erm no actually everything structurally and functionally looks normal". I already suffer with health anxiety so this has been horrendous.
There is a big difference between some furring ! Blockage of the arteries etc than left ventricle disfunction and coronary disease, which can be interrptedas a death sentence.
I may indeed have some furring / blockage that's fine. At least I know now my heart is structurally fine. I thought my left ventricle was on its way out leading to heart failure.
I don't think the medical people quite understand how we take every word they say as gospel, nor do they realise the anxiety they can cause. I'd rather not know if I might have something, they can just drop it on me when they're sure that I have something to worry about. Certainly not good to just send you worrying letters without explaining the contents! Good news for you though, that your heart is working fine. Lets hope your arteries are clear too. A close friend of mine was telephoned by her GP last year who said, "I'm so very sorry to tell you this but the results of your x-ray have shown a growth on your liver". My friend was speedily referred to see an oncologist, anyway after a scan the end result was that there was nothing wrong. I was with her and she cried with relief when she was told that. So cruel to put people through the worry of having something that may not be.
Anyway it looks like you're going to live. Get the flags out!!
I had an ovarian scan a couple of years ago and four days before Christmas GP rang and asked me if I thought I had ovarian cancer and I would be seeing someone within a fortnight!!! Must have been the only person in Hampshire to lose weight that Christmas. Thankful to say it was nothing!! Di
Sorry to hear that Di, it's just typical of what can happen! I really don't think they should say anything until they know more or less exactly what it is.
Was lying awake at night looking at ovarian cancer forums. When I saw consultant he was horrified! Wrote surgery a stinking letter. As he said would it have mattered either way if they had withheld their thoughts at least until after Christmas. Always refuse appointment with that Dr now, would rather suffer!!
I'm so pleased for you that it's something that can be sorted Paul. I can empathise completely with the anxiety and distress you've been living with these last few weeks!

Glad to hear things are good with you. I agree that medics aren't always very subtle and can inadvertently cause a great deal of anxiety and stress. However I'm also very glad we've got them. I had very major heart surgery last year by a first rate surgeon. Cost £0!
