Podcast: Eat for Inflammation

I found this discussion fascinating. Stress plays a big part in AF - physical stress from over exercise or injury and emotional/psychological stress - and there’s a close link between stress and inflammation.

After my last ablation I had a lot of inflammation and my EP said it was my body, through my immune system, fighting very hard to heal itself.

This podcast is quite long at 1 1/2 hours. I love listening to podcasts when I’m out on my walk or driving (using Bluetooth).

Dr Rupy’s books have some fabulous recipes in and he often does live hang-outs on FB.

His recipes books contain a lot of information about the foods he chooses and why they help prevent inflammation.

But the main takeaway for me is that it is really important to be in Rest & Digest mode when you eat - sigh - so again my father and grandmother were correct in insisting I sit for at least an hour after eating!
