Is it ok to fly while waiting on cardioversion.

Hi. Have had 2 open heart surgeries replacing 2 valves in 2000 and 2011.

During a routine appointment I was found to have gone into AF again and will be cardioverted soon.

Meanwhile we want to book a holiday from N Ireland to the Canaries at the end of March.....is it safe to fly?

Yes but if you are waiting for any procedure you will not get insurance.

You could always try and get your cardioversion brought forward?

I went to Cuba while waiting for a cardioversion. I had no problems flying.
