Having an ECG tomorrow should i take a bisoprolol tab before i go for it

Hi. Am also on Bisoprolol and had a recent ECG. Took my Bisoprolol as normal before the test but told the nurse i had taken it. Nobody told me I shouldn't have.

Yes - take your normal meds. The ECG will then be indicative of your normal situation.

If you are meant to stop any medication the appointment letter will instruct you.

I personally wouldn’t, as you’d want an event to be happening whilst they’re doing the ECG which only lasts a minute or so anyway, so that the ECG can capture what is happening whilst having your heart issue. Before my pacemaker fit, as I wasn’t on any meds apart from Insulin, I had a 48hr Holter monitor and I induced the low heart rate issue I was getting after any kind of exertion and the event was detailed and showed at one that exact point, with my time log, that I nearly had a complete heart block and was promptly fitted with a pacemaker two days later, no more issues. Thank God and goodness for the NHS. Good luck!
