Hope all goes well. My pacemaker has 2 leads. I didn’t realize they have different amounts of leads.

I’m waiting for authorisation for same so I will be interested in how you get on. I haven’t got heart failure - have you? That is what is holding up the authorisation.

When will you have it? Are you having AV mode ablation after?

Hi yes Ive heart failure..but they wanted to try everything else and had to go to the local multi disciplinary board...then to the North west multi disciplinary board..to decide this was my best option...Im due the pacemaker then av node ablation..once they know its all working ok..so hopefully be able to do more when Im bionic..Im only 48!!!

Hope it goes well bushy2016. My dad has 3 lead pacemaker and av node ablation too. He’s 67 and feels so much better than he was. He has heart failure too with ejection fraction of 10-15%. Good luck x

I have a 3 lead pacemaker and it’s been really beneficial. After 3 ablations which did not work the PM has been great. I have AF not heart failure though.

Good luck

Glad to see you are getting on well with your PM. Do you still have AF going on, and if you do, can you feel it? I have had 5 ablations and cardio has suggested a PM, but as my heart rate can soar to 250 while in AF, I am wondering how it would be to still have the atria fluttering away, even though the heartbeat may be controlled.

Hi Melleray. My dad still has af but can’t feel it.
