Red mottled legs

After an hour or so in the lovely sun,with thick jeans on,went in to loo,le g s all mottled and red! And stinging! Never had problems with sun before.

On apixaban,flecanaide losartan bisoprolol and avorstatin.

Any ideas!!

I'd guess that it's a heat rash. Have had them on rare occasions when sat on a beach in a very hot country. As we get older we become even more prone to this type of sensitivity. If I wear my walking boots and thick socks I get a rash around my ankles. It's just annoying, rather than something to worry about.

Sounds like your thick jeans caused your legs to become overheated.

Thank you Jean,that makes sense! I was quite hot after sorting some pots out,gone off now.Sorry for late reply,had to charge tablet up.

I agree with Jean that it could be a heat rash/reaction. It looks like my skin when I have used a hot water bottle for muscle pain but I don’t have stinging.

Flecainide has made me even more sensitive to sun and it is listed on some websites. Agree this looks like heat rash though as legs not exposed

My arms looked just the same yesterday when I took my cardigan off after a short time sat in the sun , I am on Bisoprolol looked like I had been sat in front of the fire .

Interesting Cammy!didnt itch,stung a bit which is why I looked,strange isnt it?.I had purple mott!ed legs in the bitter cold last winter too...!
