It's possible that the afib will resolve but likely you will need anti-arrythmic drugs. In any case you should be taking an oral anticoagulant (NOAC) such as apixaben (Eliquis) to help prevent a possible stroke. Call your cardiologist.

Every time I get a virus it triggers Afib again but mine is paroxysmal. I do hope it resolves soon for you but don’t wait too long to see someone as the longer you stay in AF then the more difficult to convert so do call your doctor.

Regardless of if and when it goes away I fear that you should not be driving a bus right now. If you are in UK. DVLA rules are such that you need to tell DVLA about your AF and until they investigate and agree such driving is not permitted for either PSV or HGV groups. Rules are more strict than for a private car. Please do check as the penalties are quite severe.

Thanks bob of work it has to be undercontrol for 12 weeks before i can drive bus again

Molly, it’s impossible to know if sinus rhythm will return or not but it is a good sign that the CV worked for 10 months as this implies that you could be a candidate for further procedures should the need arise. If I were you, I would consult the cardiologist who arranged the CV to find out what the next course action should be. If you felt significantly better when in rhythm it is important to make your doctor aware.

BobD is right about the issues of driving a bus with AF. If your condition is unstable, the consequences of driving a bus can be very serious and rightly so, as I’m sure you will appreciate.
