may I propose a rule of scars

If the scar on your leg where they Inserted your catheter (and any attached bruising )has not finished healing then the scarring on your heart probably hasn't either and you will need to adjust your activities accordingly

Quite agree I used the bruise. Once it had faded completely away I knew my heart had started to heal.

That seems logical and a good idea

Is it just me, or do scars take a lot longer to heal and disappear when we are on anti-coagulants? I gashed my leg on one side of my shin, in my workshop recently. The bleeding wasn't so bad and, despite the Apixaban, it stopped quite quickly (wore a plaster for a day). However, both the bruising and the scab and then the scar took far longer to go than I expected. I blamed the AC.

My bruises take months to heal since being on ACs. But better that than a stroke.
