I mean if yours is lone afib, and you're not taking any daily meds, how often are your episodes? And how long have you had afib?

I am afraid there is no answer to your question we are all different and it is different every time an AF episode happens

However I wonder why you think you have AF.

You should be seen by a doctor who should advise you about any necessary medication.

You know Pete I never knew I was a-fib until after one of my heart doctor visits ,he listened to my heart and said "Your what we call A-Fib " I had no idea and I cant remember feeling any of the symtums . Now I know when I am having a symptom but I don't count how many times or how long they last . Actually, compared to some people on here I think I may be mild . There are times I may feel bad for a while and like yesterday I felt run out of nitro all day long . Notice I didn't say gas? I never run out of that lol.

Pete is right, there are no meaningful stats to answer your question and one or even ten or 100 replies would just be 'my AF' stories 😃 That is why AF is such a frustrating unpredictable condition. It is like having a pet feral cat instead of a dog. A dog can be trained, a wild cat does more or less what it pleases and comes and goes the same! The sooner you think of AF in terms of an unsuitable pet the better for your mental state 😀

This answer requires a Gold star there for your star is in the mail . Yes you are right .There are soooo many variables to the stupid thing and it is amassing to read everyone's blogs about it and how they are effected and not effected and what meds they all take LOL. I think I pegged my heart as being just as stubborn as me and it insist on being A-fib . I'm one with good days and bad days I hate it like every one else but I guess it's here to stay because I really don't want them mess'en with me any more . After so many times in the hospital and all the pain ,one just gets to a point where they just don't want to deal with hospitals and procedures any more .

Thank you, as an ex teacher I used to give out the stars, lovely to get one myself. Totally agree about hospitals 🤕

I was diagnosed with afib in 2009. I get episodes 4 to 6 times per year, and the last anything between 6 and 24 hours each time. I take warfarin, but no other meds.

Lone AF with episodes about every six days -- sometimes 4 if I'm really stressed.
