New symptoms for paf

Hi all its been a while since I last posted on here but I still check in and read people's stories on a regular basis.

I've been struggling with some new symptoms, it seems to be when I try to do anything physical I get a tight chest slight dizziness and a real uncomftable feeling in my chest, I'm still taking sotilol twice a day and verapamil once a day.

On top of this I get a lot of flutters in my chest even at rest and palpitations several times a day.

When I've checked my pulse when I'm feeling really rough my resting heart rate is steady and its checked via Apple Watch and finger pulse/02 sensor and its rarely above 75 bpm at rest.

Also purchased a home bp machine and when I've checked when I'm feeling rough it's a little on the high side but not in the danger zone.

Last cardiologist appointment I had was a month ago and I have been referred on for an ablation as they seem to think it's the way forward now so now I have to wait until the 8th of Jan to See them at my local cardiac unit at another hospital for assessment etc.

One final thing which is really strange is when I first get in to bed and lay on my left side it almost always causes slight palpitations which clear after a few seconds and I can always feel my heart beat through my under arm when I lay on my left side.

I'm trying to not let this condition get to me but trying to work and keep the family happy etc is really starting to become a struggle.

Hi Ads, Your new symptoms, associated with physical exercise, could well be mild angina. Chest discomfort or 'heaviness' in the chest after exercise is the classic symptom for stable angina. Certainly worth talking to a doctor about. The issue becomes more urgent if you begin to experience the symptoms at rest.
