Had my second ablation a month ago. First was 8 years ago for an atril flutter, this one is for atril fibrilation. I'm told I might be short of breath for months, but I am in sinus rythim now, and have no regrets over the surgery.
My advice is to choose the doctor who has done the most of them and go right ahead. Life is MUCH better for me now, and I thank God I was born in a time when I could get this fixed instead of being an invalid. I am 71 years old and looking forwards to the rest of my life instead of laying in bed turning purple.
You have NOTHING to fear that is worse than living with AF! Sign that form and get it fixed. Life is FAR to short to spend years sitting around taking your pulse....Good luck and God bless......Joe

Hi. Interested to know how you chose the best doctor for you. Not got to ablation yet but suspect it may it be too far down the AF journey 😐 for me. I have been referred to an EP locally but no idea how to check him out or whether he is the best person for my procedure. So glad to hear a positive result and wishing you well for your recovery. ❤️❤️
Hello Tako, First of all if you live near a university hospital that is a good source for Doctors that have the most current knowledge. I went on line and looked up the success rate hospitals in my area had with ablation. and then chose the head Doctor. I was put on the waiting list of his first assistant. And that's how I found my man.
