High heart rate whilst ill

Hi all,

So I'm currently suffering with a slight cold I think or an infection, which is obviously causing me a lot of distress in itself.

Just taken my pulse and it's 101 so a little on the high side. Is heart rate elevated when ill? Does anyone else get this at all?

Also I've taken two co-codamol (8mg codeine/500mg paracetamol each), so would I not be able to take any propranolol now? Or rather, has anyone taken these combinations before and averted negative effects?

Thanks,

Micwal.

Yep heart rate does increase with illness - your body is trying hard to fight off those bugs. Rest and make sure you are hydrated. Take care.

Hi, sorry to hear you are not feeling well. My heart rate goes up when I am ill, ie, cold, tummy upset etc. Your local pharmacist can give good advice regarding medication. Hope you soon feel better. Best wishes Kath
