Hi everyone

I'm still in nsr and over the moon and hopefully start Drondarone next week!

Just wanted to ask is it usual to feel soooo tired after I converted. I was in fast AF 130bpm for 10 days.

Since converting my rate is 45-55bpm and I'm on 10mg daily of Nebivolol. I'm just so tired...I've done some housework today and feel like I could now sleep for a month. I'm not breathless at all just shattered... Does anyone know why I'm so tired and how long will it last ? X o x

I converted 3 days ago x o x

Hi Sarah, before I had my ablations I used to feel worn out for ages after having days of AF. I guess your heart thought you were running a marathon for 10 days non stop. So it's no wonder you are feeling so tired now. Perhaps you need to take it easy and build up a bit of energy again.

Your heart rate does sound a little low, what is it normally? Did you increase your AF medication while your heart rate was 130 and could your rate be low because that is still in your system.

Hope you soon feel better.

Jean

Hi Jean,

My hr has always been very low in the late 40s/50s but doesn't cause no problems. I carried on with Nebivolol 10mg while in AF but had Diltiazam 240 as PIP.

Yep good rest I think.... I'm just so happy to be out of AF. I'm better doing things and keeping busy as my brain goes in overdrive when sat still!!!

Happy New Year Jean and thanks for the reply x o x

Hi Sarah,

I agree with Jean, it has been a stressful 10 days, for you, but l would keep a record of your heart rate over the next few days, as maybe your medication needs a slight adjustment.

Best Wishes

Hi Sara,

Glad your in NSR, I have been on Dronedarone now for about a month and am having a cardioversion next week. Make sure you are having regular blood tests for the first 3 weeks and then monthly. Has anyone mentioned ablation to you? I believe I'm heading down that road as I'm in persistent AF.

Oh I'm sorry to hear about the persistent evil AF...I think I'm heading that way. Yes I was on the list for last July but like a shivering idiot I cancelled. I'm not so scared of the ablation but the G.A. for 6 hours and they insist of me having a general. But I'm back on the list now.... Good luck with the cardio version x o x

My cryoblation took over5hours I had ga no problems at all just cold when I came round

Hi, I'm always shattered after going back to sinus rhythm even if only been irregular for a short time. Your muscles have been working with a reduced blood flow they need to recoup. Take it easy, rest up and slowly build up to things.
