I think we must remember that treatment of AF is barely 20 years old. Prior to mid 90s you would have been sent home and told it won't kill you get on with life. My EP who also fits pacemaker was a few years ago experimenting with stem cells as a way of anchoring the leads more securely. I hope that in time the work that AF Association has been doing in UK to involve government and change established view points will eventually pay off for future generations.
Sounds excellent if it works, but no good if you've had an ablation. Sounds like it could be a fairly long wait before it becomes available
Amazing.
My heart was damaged by radiotherapy to my left shoulder. The editorial comment at the end was of particular interest to me.
Thank you for posting this.
very interesting good for people in the future!
Very interesting and a message to the younger ones here who find themselves with AF - a solution to the condition will probably be found in time to be of benefit to you. A wonderful thought.
Brings tears to my eyes and a glimmer of hope, whilst I am sure that there are worse things to have in life than AF. It still scares me.
