Any non rx substitute for Eliquis

Eliquis swell my gout joints, its a crazy pain...because of Eliq I have to take zylomprim..

Being on pharmacos treatment for the rest of my life is not funny.

Is there any natural supplement or a non pharmaceutical substitute?

Sorry there are no satisfactory natural anticoagulants which will protect you from AF related stroke. There are plenty of things which others may tell you can "thin" blood but will not provide protection on the same level.

Have you tried any of the other NOACs or even warfarin? Please discuss with your doctor.

Hi, I think more importantly, think about what is causing gout, which is an excess of uric acid which comes from animal proteins. When you stop eating animal protein gout disappears. Try a month of a plant based diet and you should see a huge difference. The Eliquis is important to keep you safe from stroke. Feel better!

I've been suffering for Gout recently (it is just clearing up now) and I was quick to blame the medications. I am on Apixaban (Eliquis) and Bisoprolol.

Suggest you get your uric acid levels checked and consult your doctor. There are other medications you can take e.g Colchicine for gout. However, NSAIDS can't be taken for pain relief as you are on an anticoagulant. Look at your diet and avoid foods that are high in purines (offal, shell fish, beer), but even vegetarian teetotallers can get gout.
