Can someone help me!.... Been Struggling with Bisoprolol since March... Dizziness is awful... Decided to take it at night....still the same.....ended up in A&E twice...doc has reduced the dose to 1.25 now...
Sight chest pain has come back... Dizziness hasnt gone away tho!!... Where do I go from here!!! 😔
If it were me I would be in A&E even if only for peace of mind..and appointment with an Cardiologist/EP...ASAP

Steve112 hit the nail on the head. If you have chest pain you should always seek medical advice, so go to A&E and make that EP appointment - phone his/her secretary to explain the situation.
Agree with both. Go to A&E.
The dizziness. The thing that springs to mind is low blood pressure. Are you drinking plenty of water (as water not just in tea). Water helps increase BP. One of the side effects of Bisoprolol is it can drop BP. That coupled with the warm weather when some dehydration can occur could drop BP sufficiently. In addition you BP may be naturally at the lower end of the range classified as normal.

I have been unable to tolerate the drugs that they have tried me on beta blocker, ARB or ACE but Digoxin suits me. Keeps my heart rate under control so the AF is minimal in my life.
Sounds like you need something else, it really doesn't agree with some people. I'm on 6.25mg and fine with it but my hubby was put on it for high blood pressure and is feeling awful. He's going to see the doc next Friday to try to get his dose cut or changed to something else.
I started on 2-5mgs,couldn't take that,1-25 mgs now for last 12 months,no problem!
My records are now marker 'Bisoprolol intolerant'
I have had awful problems with it too. I saw my cardiologist yesterday and he suggested I took it before bed but I don't think he truly understands how frightening it felt. My ears were ringing so loudly and I felt like I was having a panic attack but without the racing heartbeat and this was from the very first 2.5 mg tablet.
I am now back to propranolol but the specialist did mention one that began with a "N" but I am darned if I can remember it
I know how you feel and it's both frightening and makes you then worry even before you take another. Please have a word about the other one, I will browse and if I find it then I will post it on here

I am pretty sure the other beta blocker he said I should try was nadolol. I have been on atenolol before and tolerated it well.
I don't understand why they prefer one over the other but I've seen a lot of others now get prescribed bisoprolol. I am cynical of big pharmaceutical companies so I wonder if the NHS has got a better deal for them to be prescribing it as much as they do but that is just my opinion. I really hope you get sorted as I know how frightening it can be

I want to comment on NICOTINE! There are a number of studies now, about Nicotine patches - To control Behcet's disease Oral and Vaginal Ulcers. Behcet's is a VASCULITIS disease. Maybe you need some more "testing" - Do you have Behcet's, and Nicotine is stopping the bowel ulcers"?? Gene testing (BLA 52?) and "POSITIVE PATHERGY" might give some answers. The positive Pathergy , is when you are "pricked" in the inside of the forearm, twice with a sterile needle. In 24 - 48 hours I get a "bump" at each spot. Every time I have a blood draw - I get a bump. It depends on my inflammation level, how big it is. Also, on a C.B.C. (Blood Test) my NEUTROPHILES are high, if I am in a "flare" or going to get one.
I get a small bowel "blockage", that I am sure is a Behcet's lesion acting up. It can act like "I.B.S."
Behcet's ulcers go out of control, when we with Behcet's - quit smoking! I had 6, Oral canker sores, the size of Quarters at one time. ( I am allergic to the Patches, so MY choice was/is "Chewing Tobacco". Yes. It comes with it's own risks, I do NOT suggest you or anyone else use it. I am not a doctor. I am a patient like all of you, seeking relief from horrible vaginal and oral ulcers. I make my own "Medical" choices, like each of you do.)
Ask your doc about trying the patches or gum on a trial basis.
There was only one study about Behcet's and Nicotine, when I researched it, now there are many. The up-shot may be - Nicotine works on ALL"VASCULITIS", PERIOD! NOT JUST BEHCET'S.
I would print it out for your doctor - he may think you are crazy!

I saw my cardiologist last week and I was stunned that he saw my vape battery and said he was delighted that I did it as it did no harm at all. I asked him to clarify and he said he would rather ALL of mankind used vaping rather than one person smoke a roll up ( handmade) & that he had studied it and found it did no harm at all !

I had problems with and hated it and refused to take it. Felt much much better as soon as I stopped. Ask for something else, once you have been checked out.
It sounds like I need to be thankful. I take 5mg Bisoprolol in the mornings and have done for years and it seems to keep my rate in control without any particular side effects apart from fatigue which I manage to push through.
Certainly see you Cardio or EP and get checked out and seek an alternative.
I switched from Bisoprolol to Tildiem Retard (a calcium channel blocker) and felt like a different person. If you haven't already seen an EP, it's worth a private consultation - they should be able to sort you out if your current doctors can't give you anything else.

I was put on Bisopropol as part of my treatment for AF and after three weeks had to stop taking it because I felt so ill. Almost identical side effects that you are having . GP then put me on Metropolol which has been better though still feel tired and muzzy headed at times.
I was asked to re try it but taking it just before bed, I had the exact same reaction and I refuse to use it again. I am back on propranolol and I can take it on an as needed basis.
