Video Assisted Thoracotomy - Maze - 2 weeks on

Well, 2 weeks since my minimally invasive maze. The chest wounds are healing well but there is still a bit of tightness in the chest.

Today I have had a few premature beats but general rhythm is fine. I know it is early days in terms of the scarring that needs to occur for full effect but will contact the surgeon if the problem persists.

Apart from the effects of amiodorone and metoprolol on cardiac function I'm feeling pretty well. Will post again soon with progress report.

It sounds as though you are doing well. Will be interested to see your next report as this procedure could be something I could end up having.
