Hi 1931,

Perindopril is of the category of drugs called ACE inhibitors. Occasionally someone gets a bit of a cough on these drugs, but the thing I like about them is that typically you feel better than ever on them! They don't make you tired like a beta blocker does. Be well!

I've been on 8mg of Perindopril for years and have not experienced any side effects. Hope they agree with you too, but if not there are others of same type they can try.

I was put on Perindopril some years ago by a professor at Imperial College. He wrote of it in such glowing terms that my GP said that he had a meeting with his partners and they decided to put most of their patients on it.

I lasted on it for about six weeks before it proved unsuitable for me but I didn't ask how the other patients fared:-)

I was on 8mg of Perindopril for a long time. They were very good at reducing my BP.

If it works for you that's great.

I personally had some side affects whereby my legs and feet would 'leek' causing skin problems. This is relatively rare I believe.
