I am currently taking warfarin to bring my INR from 1.3 up to 2/3 prior to an abalation. Are there any vitamin supplements or diet to improve the time to reach my level.
Many thanks

Just stay on a steady diet, don't binge drink and avoid too much broccoli. That way the clinic can adjust your dose quite quickly. Be warned that some people never manage it.

Check out livestrong.com and the article "foods with anticoagulant properties". Generally fish oil, garlic, ginger and a glass of red wine if its not a trigger for you.
Avoid green veg - spinach, broccoli, sprouts etc also parsley in large amounts!
Best of luck

Hi..follow BobD's advice.
Carry on with a sensible diet and let the anti-coag team adjust your dose. I blew my INR once when I had a feast week of sprouts in addition to my usual veg.
Another thing worth considering is your alcohol intake. When my CV failed a short time ago I decided that it might be a good time to stop drinking completely and give my body a break. It was harder than I thought
This resulted in my INR dropping a lot and my warfarin was increased gradually from 3 mg to 5 mg over a period of 5 weeks. It's at a good level again now.
The booze made a lot of difference to me but maybe not to everyone... it's a great excuse to keep having a drink or two though!
Good luck
