Antihistamines and Beta Blockers

I've read that you shouldn't mix antihistamines and beta blockers.

Are there any hay fever sufferers on here who have found an alternative?

I'm on 1.25mg Bisoprolol.

My GP prescribed oral anti-histamines for a short term allergic reaction I had recently - I had specifically reminded him of my Flec, Apixaban and Bisop (1.25mg). I also have problems with tree pollen (larch possibly) and have found a saline nasal mist to be beneficial.

Can your GP recommend anything to help the misery?

I will give that saline nasal mist a try - is it over the counter at chemists?

My GP said it was OK to take Loratadine when I was on Bisoprolol - I suffer with silver birch tree pollen. I get it on prescription.

I take Cetirizine daily as well as Bisop. All prescribed by GP and seen by cardiology, so I'm assuming no problem. No ill effects but might check with GP again to make sure.

Hi there, I`m also on Bisoprolol and take Loratadine when necessary. Hope this helps you.

Just spoke to my local pharmacist and was told that Cetirizine doesn't effect Bisoprolol.
