I keep getting the message unable to classify this ECG. Heart rate 57 to 60 & feels in sinus rhythm. Anybody had this problem - any advice. Thanks

I get that message most of the time. Sometimes when in AF most of the time not.I don't know if that means there is another arrhythmia present as I'll often be in sinus rhythm but without a P wave.

Hi! I haven't checked in on here in a while, but I recently got an Alivecor error message. "Undetermined: We could not detect a normal ECG due to a heart rate outside the range of 50 to 100 bpm, a possible abnormal heart rhythm or poor quality recording." It didn't say I was in AF like it has in the past. I definitely felt palpitations at a very fast rate. It lasted about an hour, so I didn't worry about it too much, lol. The rhythm almost felt regular except for what felt like random palpitations throughout the episode. Have people been experiencing problems getting a good recording with latest Alivecor update? Sorry if this is common knowledge here lately, I haven't checked in for a while. :)

All the Best-

KeL

I am now getting the unclassified message on every recording yet I can see I'm in NSR.

I updated all my apps yesterday so that must be why.

Update: It has just given me a 'normal' response so perhaps it's been fixed

Exactly the same problem, the last two weeks the 'unable to classify' message is all I have got, even when I know I am in NSR. E mailed AliveCor and they replied this morning, saying I can turn off this message, or send a recording for analysis. I replied that at £5 a go I was reluctant to do this (esp as I believe it is only $5 in US!) and asking specifically if this was new software problem? And if I turn off this message what will I get instead? It seems to me that the three messages I used to get were sufficient. They haven't replied to that email yet, BUT my reading this morning came up as Normal, so maybe, as Fallingto pieces said, it was a glitch that has been fixed.

I did turn of unclassified in settings & at the end of the recording there was no comment it just vanished so I sent a trace for analysis which came back normal.

Mine started doing this on my last update. I still get Normal and Possible AF detected but occasionally get the undetermined message too. Perhaps DrDave01 could help? 😀

Hi everyone

I was just contemplating posting an Alivecor query when I read yours and the replies. When I first got it, I thought the AliveCor was fantastic, but forthe past few weeks its been disappointing and I don't know why. My average bmp is between 43 and 60. Now I get 'unclassified' practically all the time unless I run up and down to increase my heart rate. what does this mean? is my heartbeat normal or abnormal? Is there a good reason why the AliveCor doesn't interpret under 60 bpm? I know its officially bradycardia but still it can be normal rhythm or abnormal, which is precisely what I want to know. I have paid for loads of reports but it gets a bit expensive and a waste of money when the 'unclassified' report comes back 'normal'. I wonder if Dr Dave knows whats going on? Or anybody? Thanks Marilyn.

Oh Bum! I just started a thread on the exact same topic, best go delete it! I keep getting unclassified, every reading, sinus or AF..... always unclassified. Deleted the app and reinstalled it, cleaned the contacts, tried the different lead readings. Still unclassified.

I have had no reply to my request for help so nothing to report except I seem to be getting normal response to my trace now. We will see what happens.

Same problem here, used to get "normal" or "Possible AF detected" but now get the unable to classify report every time. I'm also wondering if the last update broke something. HR is high 40's most of the time. Mind you, I'm also getting some very odd traces..,,
