Share your ‘Patient Voice’ at AF Association Patients Day

Are you attending AF Association Patients Day at Birmingham ICC on Sunday 5th October? Would you happy to be filmed as part of the AF Association ‘Patient Voices’ project?

AF is silent but its effects on an individual and their families and friends can be massive. AF Association’s ‘Patient Voices’ project aims to give AF a voice – with your support we can raise awareness of how AF impacts on all aspects of life. During the course of this year’s Patients Day we are hoping to film attendees, with the hope that videos will then be used during AF Aware Week from 24-30 November to help portray AF in a completely fresh light, with the patient at the heart of the condition.

Filming slots last thirty minutes. If you would like to share your experiences and take part, please email [e-mail] before 5pm on Friday 19th September. Please tell us how you have found AF to be silent, and include information on your own journey with AF, from diagnosis through to any treatments you have received. Thank you.

I've just cancelled unfortunately my second ablation falls on 1st October and might not be fit enough to attend ! Ya boo!

I am new to the forum and thus have missed the news about patients day in Birmingham, which I would have liked to have attended and participated in, as I believe my experiences may have helped others having gone through four ablations, one of atrial flutter, the others for fibulation. Will one be held next year?

There will indeed be another Patients Day next year, so do check the AFA website early in 2015 for details.
