Take the antibiotics asap drink plenty of fluids but apart from that I'm not a medic but if it doesn't start to improve then go back to A&E or see your out of hours GP. Don't know what to advise about the anticoagulation.

See you gp. Did they do urine and blood tests? Who did you see at the hospital? The kidney team or just A/E. If it was me I would give it the weekend to see if the antibiotics work and then start pushing for more investigations

Keep on their backs until your satisfied and comfortable mentally and physically. I'm really sorry it can't be much fun but as you've only got one kidney it makes things a little more serious than having two.

If your GP sent you to A and E he probably wanted you admitted . You should phone him/her and tell them the situation. Preferably get them to phone A and E. It's happened to me once. Terry

Thanks all went to see emergency doctor, he gave me some strong pain killers and feels that it needs further investigation

I hope you have this sorted out now- Although the bleeding is due to the infection, make sure the hospital are monitoring you and also that they change the antibiotics if you don't start to improve soon- keep going to A and E until it's sorted!!

I hope you're feeling better now? You will need close monitoring I would think as you only have one kidney... Don't hesitate to keep the pressure on them!
