Having just read the post about a new support group starting up in Surrey - it would be lovely if the AFA site could list such Support Group meetings on the website.
I am sure there must be many AF sufferers in my area (Ruislip/Uxbridge, Middlesex) who would love a social/learning meet up now and again.

Your know the answer then! AFA will provide assistance in setting up groups but there are at least two (Ian's and mine ) where social is the word rather than support. Those are very easy. Just pick a venue and a date and see who turns up.
There was a gathering in London a while ago and had I been free I would have gone. Can we have plenty of notice as cheap train tickets come on sale 3 months ahead. I travelled (with railcard) from London to Lancaster last week for £9.95 - but it was a slow journey with several stops.
Our new group has been added to the list on the AFA website Enjoy- if you click on the patient information tab and then on support groups you'll be able to se if there is one in your area.
I'll try and list the topic os on this forum as they come up so that if there was a talk that particularly interested you
