So had the ablation this morning. Wasn't as bad as I'd imagined it would be, but feeling a bit sick and woozy ( now 9 hours post op). So we'll wait and see how we get on.

good to hear you are ok- please let us know how it goes- do rest for long enough and don't worry if you have some activity for a while as the first 3 months are not counted when they assess what has worked well

best wishes

Well done and p[lease take plenty of time to recover as slow is good. As has been said three months or more for a proper recovery so take it easy. Sleep now.

It's always good to hear when things go better than expected. Resting is so important now so put your feet up as much as you can and don't be tempted to push yourself.

Best Wishes

Best wishes Sue for a successful recovery, but as others say don't try and do too much too soon. Rest and build up gradually. I wasn't aware of this site when I had my first ablation and had read online how a keen runner was back running a few days later. Of course when I didn't feel right after a few days I started thinking, what's wrong with me. My first ablation took me longer to get over (perhaps two weeks before I went to work - a desk job) than my second. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks, Jean. Heart feels a bit 'fluttery' this morning, but I'm sure that's to be expected. I don't think I'll be back running for a while - I think I'll have to build up a bit of confidence first.
