A lot of places, even here, that see a piddling of snow every 50 years or something …. those have a foot of snow on them. So much snow up at China Peak you can’t find the buildings or lifts.
Been to Kaiser for a pile of spinal and lower right quadrant X-rays , along with a urine FRS test for my liver - kidneys. Been busy with that last couple of days buddy.

Respect your attitude as always. Glad that the test and scans just confirm the existing conditions, and didn't reveal any new big bugaboos. For me the tests, exams and scans are always a yin/yang thing. I'm always glad when there is no new bad news, but have to do some internal work to accept that this is my new normal.
Exciting news about you walking more yesterday. Just don't try to keep up with Doc.
I've got facet arthropathy as well and last week a couple of my vertebrae decided to play slinky. Feels like my lower body is disconnected from my upper body, but so far the spasms haven't gone crazy. Oh well, gives me something else to think about besides the cancer.
Simple QOL. I had a moment of zen yesterday. I picked up some snow and ate it. Brings back a lot of childhood memories and was simple pleasure. I ended up bringing some in and using it for ice in my drink. Smooth...
I ate fresh snow as a child too. Out in the country it was super clean. We collected it for drinking water. In town, after a day or two ….all the new snow turned black … coal was the primary heating fuel back then. You never realized how much soot you breathed in until you saw that. We don’t have any snow here ….. I always try to avoid the yellow snow when I’m in snow tho ……

We have 5 acres and its surrounded by trees. My grandson was always proud to make yellow snow, so I've learned to be extra careful

Doc is my inspiration to get up and walk more …. maybe, some day, I’ll go on one of his easy walks …. or more realistically, walk comfortably out to my truck …or over to a picnic table in the park. Or walk myself to my room at the Tides. That would be really good …… I’d be happy with that for now.
There are a lot of great new fixes for spinal issues nowadays. You’ll probably be able to get a fix for that if it comes to a point of need . That’s good.

Although I often strike up a bowl and or consume infused coconut butter and beer consumption started to decline a lot even before my dx, yesterday was one of those rare times i pulled a beer out of the fridge to go with a pizza. Newcastle beer. Made me think of you. Don't know how many times I've seen you with a good beer and said to myself "I think I'll have a beer(s) tonight" lol.

Certainly enjoying one day at a time --- with all the treatments so far do have have any bone loss issues and if so are you on any on-going treatments for this???? like prolia or calcium supplements etc...
I have osteopenia and just doing weight bearing, LOL did 124 miles in Feb
On Calcium, Vit D per recommendations. No ProLia hopefully ever. Fingers crossed 😊

That's really great - yes prolia is the last thing to start on - once you start there's no going back and the side effects do more harm sometimes that what the drug is supposed to help against... It's surprising so many women (and some men) are given this drug with known side effects....

Hi, here are the latest DEXA scan results comparing the 2021 with 2018So femur lost some bone density and the recommendations are still weight bearing exercises and Calcium and Vit D

We have four feet of snow, not exactly 5k weather. Might get out tomorrow with a track vehicle. Have gotten plenty of exercise the last couple of weeks. I had no idea I could shovel that much snow in my new body
My back is a wreck too but I seem to be able to keep it working with exercise. Unfortunately cycling which is best is not possible when we can barely get a track vehicle out which we did today. My back did rebel but it is good pain, sort of, not bone pain or the likes. Just hope I can get to my next chemo infusion without all that shoveling. More snow is forecast.
