Looks like you are with Kaiser. Did they offer you CBCT with fiducials for daily corrective imaging, CBCT alone, or something else? Any mention of SBRT as an option? THANKS!

Any mention of VMAT-RT. it is milder than SBRT but stronger than IMRT.
Not sure about that. From what I understand???, IMRT and VMAT are close to the same.....in fact, VMAT justa certain type of IMRT ....the shortest beam on type per my understanding.....Gooogle would clarify. SBRT can be done using VMAT I believe
Also, kudos for all you bring to this forum ! Looking at your struggles, and your bio, did you have scans after your high risk high High PSA was found? I understand why it would be reasonable to conclude that you were already metastatic, but if you did have standard bone and CT scans done then , they did offer you surgery or ADT + RT, correct? Were your providers 50-50 on starting with chemo rather that ADT + RT.....I guess now it would be a triple combo option?

Mahalo nui loa. Scan showed Mets to L ureter lymph nodes, compressing the ureter with resultant L renal atrophy, but GFR and Creatinine levels are great. In 2015 MO said Dx was at perfect times as the CHAARTED trial data was dropping and showed 17 months longer OS with ADT and Chemo. I got that and more coming uop on 9 yrs in October π
so, this will be the 1st time to bombard the LNs with whole pelvic RT? Lots on your plate I know!!! If you happen to remeber, please let me/us know what you are offered re RT, and their logic for what is and isn't offered ? I'm not the only other Kaiser patient here now, or in the future....something like 10,000,000 members nationwide.

what you and I are going thru is a bit different but IMHO each just as messy in its own way. Both of us are careening down the same rough rocky road.

Is this the first IMRT you have had?
Yes, MO had me cons with an RO in 2016 and I declined thinking that IMRT was still a local therapy and wanted to have a whole body treatment with chemo/ADT.
LoL 39 sessions didn't kill off the PCa tho. PSMA showed an SUV Max of 87. 5 in L of prostate π
