My father just completed 6 rounds of taxotere, has had two Luperon injections (getting them every 3 months).
highest psa 161
Had psa drawn right before last infusion of chemo .62
This past psa (about 2 weeks post chemo) just came back at .64
I’m sure everyone is different and this is likely just going to be a wait and see but…should I anticipate he has reached his nadir and is slowly already going to start progressing back up? Is .02 really significant or should I be reading this as essentially stable from last read, can we continue to decrease? Anyone with similar patterns please share!
TIA

There's no difference between .64 and .62. It's a great response and hopefully stays down there.
He may have reached his nadir, but it's also possible that it keeps going down slowly or levels off for many months. You generally don't consider the cancer becoming castrate resistant until you have 2 or 3 doublings with a PSA over 2.
Best to relax and not worry about the small changes in the meantime. There is a reason we call PSA "Prostate Specific Anxiety".
