My husband who has been dealing with this stage 4 mchrpc has had 12 lines of treatment which include 4 Lu177 in Germany in the past year. His blood counts were too low to return to Germany so he was started on Xtandi. After a month of being miserable from side effects and an increase in PSA, he has stopped its use. His MO suggested the only treatment left to try would be low dose Jevtana. If his blood counts could bounce back, he would be eligible for a trial at Duke. What is your experience with side effects from Jevtana? Last year he had 4 cycles of Taxotere and he did not do well with it.
Thanks for your experiences

The side effects of Jevtana are not worse than Docetaxel. If you are afraid of side effects you could try to convince the MO to use 15 mg/m2 as described in this article:
Docetaxel would knock me out for about five weeks, and therefore after the third dose we stopped. Started Jevtana this summer and at first I was suspicious that it was a placebo. Meaning, that I tolerated it just fine. I hope your husband has the same experience.
