XOFIGO Update after round 4

Good morning everyone. I received a call yesterday postponing my 5th dose of Xofigo for a month. My WBC is too low .74 even though I’ve been getting booster shots each week for the last 6 weeks. I have to admit this is a little frustrating to have to wait at least another month to have a PET scan to find out how the Xofigo is working.

Has anyone else had this experience? I remain hopeful it’s being effective. You all remain in my prayers as we continue this fight.

Unfortunately bone marrow suppression may be associated with Xofigo.

Booster shots of Neulasta (pegfilgrastim)? Hopefully, your WBC count will come back up.

Yes, I too wish you could get a scan sooner to see the progress.

I am optimistic especially in light of your reduced pain (aside from the increased pain for a week after each infusion) that the mets are "shrinking" as they say.

My experience shows a severe weight and appetite loss. As far as any blood tests everything looks normal.

Thanks for the reply. How many treatments have you done so far or are you finished with all 6? I’ve also lost 30lbs since starting. I do attribute to radically changing my diet and loss of appetite.

Sorry about the bump in road! Husband just had his 3rd Xofigo and has been able to cut down on pain meds!Will follow you for your progress with this treatment! Prayers

Benefits of Xofigo that your body can currently tolerate. Can’t do More than that. Scan results in due course, so stay the course in peace amigo.
