PSA quickly rising while waiting for trial to start

HopingForTheBest1 profile image

Trial will finally start next week, while having anxiously waiting for what seems like forever. In the meantime my PSA has more than doubled to 37 in the past month. It was undetectable up until a few months while on Olaparib when it ran it's course after 2 years. Doctor's have been saying PSA is just one criteria. ☹️😠🤬

Having Ga68 PSMA scan today as part of the trial. Will start trial with a triple therapy of 225Ac-J591 + Keytruda + Xtandi all on day one. Going forward I will continue with daily 160mg dosage of Xtandi and 6 week infusions of Keytruda, with weekly blood work for the next 6 weeks.

Hoping for the best!

Let us know how it works. It's a great combo. I'm particularly eager to know whether the J591 ligand mitigates the salivary gland side effects.

That's definitely the expectation.

Good luck! I just finished AC 225 J591 trial- got 7 months out of it before PSA went up. Had 2 infusions in February.

Was it in combination with another drug?

HiI had 2 infusions 2 weeks apart of just AC225 and J591. Your trial with the other drugs seems very interesting!

You just had 1 dose of each drug?

One dose of Actinium + daily Xtandi + Keytruda infusion every six weeks.

Your PCa cells are going to have a no good horrible bad day….. :) Thanks for sharing your experience and I hope the treatment is wildly successful with few side effects.
