Does Medicare cover nuclear bone scan for advanced prostate cancer

Gleason 7, cancer found in pelvic nodes during prostate removal. Post surgery psa since 2006 has been from 20 to .7 present. Psa went undetectable in 2007 and came back in 2014 and reached level of 1.3 in 2019. Last test in April 2020 was psa .7

Medicare wiill cover bone scans. I am not sure off hand how many per year but at least two.

During my Zytiga trial my insurance covered Bone Scans snd CT scans every three months.

Why didn't the drug company cover them under the trial? I was on a trial with zytiga also. They tried to get my insurance company to pay for CT and bone scans. That was a non starter. I am suprised your insurance carrier paid for those.

I have been getting them per my MO every 3 months. Covered by Medicare.

I have Medicare United Healthcare advantage plan. It covers my bone scans with a $100 copay.
