I submitted my online request for treatment yesterday, and in less than 24 hours, I was given an appointment for Lu177 treatment on Jan 31. That was much faster and easier than I expected. For those that have been treated at Heidelberg, could you please offer some travel advice?

What caused you to choose Heidelberg over Bad Berka?
Tall Allen told me that Dr Haberkorn is THE guy, and he is at Heidelberg. Also Dr Baum is no longer associated with Bad Berka. Also Heidelberg appears to be more accessible from Frankfurt , and they got back to me with the quickest appointment.
Honestly though, I think all of these German clinics offer the same treatment, more or less.

Even closer to Frankfurt airport but the commuter train takes 45 minutes to Wiesbaden. A cab will need 20 minutes and it costs about 65 Euros.
GP24 said Dr Baum moved to Weisbaden anyway. Bad Berka is a shlep to get to.
You fly to Frankfurt airport, in the airport building there is a train station. You take the train to Heidelberg which takes about an hour. You can buy a ticket at the machine before you enter the train. From the train station in Heidelberg you take a cab to the hospital.

Not looking for a cure. A two year remission would be most welcome. I’m very interested to see if Dr Haberkorn will combine Lu177 with Ac225, and whether he will offer FAPI. Not sure if that is even available yet.

I'd be very curious what you can find out about FAPI. I was in Munich last week and was told they expect to offer it within a year.

Where did u get your PSMA test?
Did Dr Drake tell you his recommended option for you?
Psma scan at UCLA. Dr Drake recommended either one of his immunotherapy trials vs Lu177 in Germany. He said there is more experience and safety with the Lu177 treatments. He usually refers to Bad Berka, but now that Dr Baum has left, I don’t know.

That is correct. These immunotherapy treatments have an adverse side effect called cytokine release syndrome which can be quite dangerous. Also there is a longer track record for Lu177. Car-T and Regeneron are relatively novel treatments for prostate cancer.
It was very easy getting the Psma at UCLA. They send a referral request to your MO, and then they contact you as to whether you are a candidate. Wait time is just a few weeks. Cost is approximately $2800.
Ps , did dr drake suggest taking a FDG scan in concert with the PSMA scan to assess PSMA avidity and if there might be non PSMA lesions present?
No he did not. He felt the Psma scan could be compared with the recent ct and bs. Perhaps for more advanced disease with visceral Mets he might have recommended it. Heidelberg has not required an FDG scan either.
