CBD OIL USERS

I would like to know if any one has tried CBD oil to help with sleep, pain, anxiety, or other ailments that are associated with this scourge that is attacking us. I keep getting junk email touting all the benefits but as we all know there is a lot of charlatans preying on our condition.

High THC concentration oil, Indica strain taken sublingually just before bed will most likely have you sleeping like a baby, thru the night. Helps a lot with pain as well. Something I used (legally) for awhile after dx. Can say about CBD oil as have never been interested in it or tried it.

I use it for neuropathy. It helps me get a good night's sleep.

Yes. CBD oil from commercial hemp really helps pain, then helps anxiety, and then greatly helps sleep. 100-200mg per day.

I use 2 to 3 mg of THC in an medium chain triglyceride oil at bedtime to help with sleep when needed. I used 200 - 300 mg during chemotherapy days 3 years ago to reduce neuropathy which appeared to work. It is difficult to achieve a therapeutic concentration of CBD because of rapid metabolism by Phase I enzymes in the liver. Cheers, Phil

I am fortunate enough to live in a state where medical marijuana is legal and I'm a card carrying member. The difference in that is the product is refined, regulated, and for the most part used for the purpose intended. It helps me with pain substantially you need to try different strains to see which works best. I don't smoke it , tried the oil pen but will give that some time to see if I can get the hang of it.

I must be doing something wrong. Recently, I tried CBD hand cream, hemp oil, and gummies for joint pain, as sleep aids and restlessness at night. I assumed that these symptoms were Lupron related. Alas I do not perceive any lessening of my symptoms. Perhaps, I'll have to increase the dosage/frequency.

FYI: the last Lupron shot was in early May; its duration was 3 mos. I thought that, by now, I'd begin to return to my pre-treatment self. Not so. The joint pain is worse now, the insomnia is worse and you can add in increased restlessness at night. And, yes, I had blood work for arthritis, Lyme's disease, vitamin and iron deficiency, etc. All results within normal limits. Go figure.

I'm glad that CBD is working for most. It hasn't for me yet.

I'm a CBD oil proponent who is a legal user in Canada. I have a license to grow. I've discovered thru research and practical experience that CBD and THC both play a useful role in pain management, insomnia and other health related issues.

For chronic pain management (severe osteo-arthritis) I also take 'low dose naltrexone, which amounts to 4.5 mg of the drug in an OFF LABEL application from a compounding pharmacy.

About CBD and THC - there is an interaction where the two cannabanoids complement each other. CBD 'tyically' is more effective when taken with a bit of THC. Ratios of 5:1 or 10:1 (some prefer 1:1) or better at 20:1 seem to have better results.

For insomnia, an INDICA variety with a high THC value (> 10 mg/ml) works for many patients.

Furthermore, it is best to 'rotate' different sub-types of medical cannabis because you become tolerant to the same variety day in and day out. This rotation concept might be hard to achieve (for longer time users) because the logistics and availability of commercial strains is easier said than done.

As a grower, I produce up to 6 varieties per cycle, while changing some types as the seeds become available. Note that 1/3 of my new plants are high CBD varieties (low THC). IF I can find a ratio of 20:1 or 25:1, those are the ideal ones to grow.

When talking about THC, I prefer and recommend the indica types. This will affect your body more-so than the 'psychotic' mind altering sativa subtypes.

Typically, in a day, I do my CBD stuff during the daytime and switch to the THC in the evenings to help me sleep.

The 'mix' works for pain management and insomnia. It also helps calm the nervous system.

Kindly note that I do not believe that medical cannabis is a bonafide cure for PCa, although I believe that it HELPS in the fight.

There are indirect affects such as tumor suppression or the blocking of new blood supplies that research seems to point to.

I believe that PCa patients have much more to gain than they lose by joining the medical cannabis community. Our body has a built-in, God given, endo-cannabanoid receptor system that we should take advantage of.

In fact, virtually every living organism has an endo-cannabanoid system. Think I'm kidding you ?

I dare anyone to do the research and discover what nature has provided us with !

(Google / Wikipedia refers)

CONSULT ' Leafly - Cannabis Guide' for some up to date information.

Big Pharma is investing heavily in the industry for legitimate reasons.

There is so much more to discover!

And about me - G9, initial PSA > 300, node positive, T3B - 2.5 years ago. Today, I am in remission while watching and waiting. My PSA has been undetectable for over 1 year and my testosterone is within the low normal state and slowly climbing.

Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones - don't really know why, but I feel like I've been given a lengthy extension on my life expectancy.

Hope it continues ......

Not all CBD is for sleeping. I have CBD for day use and THC with indica for night.

In my experience CBD oil will definitely help, as well as it's more THC oriented analogs. The trick is getting known good product, and that is not easy. As leo2634 pointed out, if you are in a legal state products from the legal stores should be good.

If not you will need to find a source for these products from someone who cares about their patients. They are out there, but hard to find. My best suggestion is to just ask around. I ran into a guy that was vaguely in my social circle who told me he had bladder cancer when word of my situation got around. Then he said "you know my wife makes some stuff that really helps me...". Right now she is the only source I really trust.

Good luck, in my opinion this is worth pursueing.

I found ''Santé Cannabis'' in Québec, Canada. They are selling ONLY MEDICAL CANABIS with a medical consultation with their own doctor..

They have Canabis in different products. Because I also have Pulmonary Emphysema, my doctor prescribed Canabis Oil. One is CBD 20mg/ml and the other one is THC 20mg/ml.

I have a scedule for how to use it with increase every 3 days. I will start with CBD only for 33days then I will add THC. I should get my first order today, Jan 22nd 2021.

I am also on Fentanyl 87.0mcg/hr Patches Q 3days.

I am hoping to get rid of the fentanyl since I have been on it since 1994.

I cut 10 mg indica gummies down to 2.5 mg and that's enough to help me with sleep. I'm not dealing with pain issues, just occasional problems falling or staying asleep. I'm not averse to getting a daytime buzz on with a sativa or sativa dominant hybrid once in a while. Living in a medical marijuana state cannabis availability is something I wouldn't have qualified for without a cancer diagnosis.

I'm a convert to the Heart Rate Variability monitors. You may be sleeping when taking CBD oil or other supplements but are you getting quality rest. That is where the HRV comes in. If its low then regardless if you believe you are sleeping the fact is you are not.
