Lupron injection.

My PSA is slowly creeping up. From 0.03 six months go and 0.06 today. I'm currently on a clinical trial. I'm due for my next Lupron injection next month. Now get it every six months. My question, will a Lupron injection bring a PSA level down? If not what exactly does it do?

Your PSA is still very low. Your previous treatment does not warrant looking at changes that small, although your clinical trial may demand it. Try to ignore it if you can.

If your next reading goes up a little, it could just be an upward trend but not PSA progression in terms of clinical studies.

You would need an absolute increase of 2.0 and an additional 25 percent over PSA nadir. The stampede trial didn't consider it progression until it raised over a 4.0

Better still a large single malt neat. Along with some grass fed fillet mignon medium rare + lobster tails (from Maine, if possible). Cheers !!

My PSA has progressed from 0.06 to .33 with lupron. Started lupron concurrent with chemo (docataxel) in November of 2017. Drs. indicated they wouldn't do anything until PSA reached 1. I am planning on taking Fendendazol starting next week. Hoping to attack the cancer instead of just delaying. I'll keep everyone posted.

Can I ask what was the time frame of your rise from 0.06 to 0.33?

Also what exactly is fendendazol?

I just would like to add. Like many of you, I have been through the mill fighting this disease. Started with casodex, then chemo (docetaxel), radiation, zytiga-prednisone, now on a clinical trial. I get messages of I'm worrying to much in a slight rise in psa. But to live with constant fatigue, feverish feelings, gastrointestinal issues, body aches. Not to mention that I will never be sexually functional. It goes on and on. You get frustrated. I always hoped for a remission from this, but I know this will never happen for me. Longing for that quality of life.

No

Neither have I.

On the contrary, I have increased my intake of meats, dairy products and fish/seafood. Being an Indian, I have always eaten vegetables and relatively spicy food by Western standards.

Strictly no heavy exercise for me. Some amount of walking and a little yoga/meditation.

No praying to Gods. I use that time to relax, sleep, listen to music or read.

Not saying that my method is the best or even that it is remotely successful.

On the contrary, it may well be the reason why ALL treatments have failed so far.

BUT, BUT, BUT, I am enjoying myself. And, with 2 or 3 years left, isn't that the best thing to do ?? If its 2 or 3 months left, even more reason :-)

Cheers and all the very best.
