Making a LOT more Vegan meals/Xgeva bone pain...Still "BIRM"ing it...

and hoping for a good year.

Right now I'm not feeling as "perky" as I was...I feel the Xtandi and the "Lupron" Lull a bit more often (even with the BIRM). But I have my times during every day that I am very energetic (like making this lunch for us).

Now it's time to do a little nappy and then up again to dye Easter eggs. I see the Oncologist next Friday and do bloodwork...hoping NEXT Friday will be another "Good" Friday....LOL.

Happy Easter to all who celebrate.

John

p.s. also just curious the "bone pain" from the Xgeva...I am feeling like I have been hit in the ribs occasionally and bruised. It only last for a few minutes usually...is this part of "that" bone pain ~~I don't have any bone mets anywhere near there as of last Axumin Pets (very recently)

I also feel I have pain in my ankle in the bone....again it passes quickly ? is that Xgeva?

Darn greatjohn, I too will probably soon be looking at Xgeva or hopefully that evenity when needed ..I don’t like the chemicals ...I like pain even less. Hope that pain dissipates very soon ..The salad looks good to me . No more cost-co hotdogs? What’s up ? Those organic greens are healthy and should make you feel good inside. This pathway of castration is a non -hormonal monument to the our will to live .. Keep hanging amigo.. I see a blind man or a person with no legs and I’m grateful to have both . Peace big man...

I'll be having the occasional Costco hot dog...and steaks....just doing much larger percentage of vegetarian meals....and eating grass fed, organic meats when we do.

Happy Easter

Yah, grass fed and organic are great. Don’t get me wrong John ,I love it all , prime rib ,and .. Every other rich and delicious food in the world . I’m thinking about my already altered abdominal state of affairs and not trying to put the added stress on my digestion through eating much meat ... easy for me to say,,,because I have a chef ( my better half ) cooking organic delicious cuisine . I love it. They say that the way to a man’s heart is through the stomach .. If I was still a bachelor I most assuredly wouldn’t be here today . Love and Great cooking , dam ,never had before she .. enjoy your upcoming travels west young man . Take care ..

Tee hee....I'm good at copying what I see... only better.

Happy Easter.

Is it a big Bill68 when you pick up the tab? What is your favorite restaurant ever? Best food I ever had was in France peaking out at 30 yrs old and taking a debacherous self driven tour with a Michelin guide in one hand and plenty of cash in the other. it’s a different level over there . top foodieFrance .

I don't see anything "debaucherous" about eating well.

I continue to do so even now.

But, otoh, no treatments seem to be working for me, as yet.

Otoh, I do hardly any physical exercise. Nor am I religious.

I live life on my terms and I will die when I have to.

Cheers, Lulu700.

Local Farmers' Market just re-opened and they have a purveyor of bison meat. Hooray, I will get to make REAL chili again. And my asparagus is coming up gangbusters. Life is good.

Hi,

I am on Xgeva, Lupron and Erleuda. I believe the Xgeva is causing the following in me:

- nausea/lack of appetite

- joint paint (I get it in the hip and knee). Very strong pain which does not lost long

- dizziness (could be all 3 meds)

- along with dizziness loss of balance

Hope this helps.

Absolutely, SsamO :-) You seem to be a true gourmet :-)

Abiraterone, thus far, has kept my PSA from rising further. But, it has not fallen much. From 16.33, my PSA now stands at 16.02. No pain anywhere, though.

Today is my first Lu-177 infusion. Probably, in 8 hours or less. Fingers crossed :-)

Btw, as far as diet is concerned, I am on a low carb, high fat diet most of the time. I try to do 60% fat, 20% protein, 20% carbs.

Cheers, SsamO. All the very best. Enjoy life !!!

Lately I have felt guilty about everything I eat except organic lettuce with no dressing.

OY. I eat anyway. Just feel guilty.

thanks...I was basically kidding. I LOVE food. I'll go further...I really L O V E food...so my motto really is "eat, drink & be merry"......I spend 20% of the day shopping for groceries...from Costco to Whole Foods, to Publix ....to Lucky's Market...and Trader Joes...we are all over getting ingredients from all over...and another 30% of the day cooking and eating.

Have a great day ! ! !

Wow...the pics on the sign up page made me hungry! I'm already in one "food group"...I better re-think...I have NOT lost a pound with this whole "cancer thing"...which (LOL) is what people expect. I've stayed constant at 192 pounds (in spite of TRYING to lose a few pounds). Thanks for the link.
