Lu177 trial.for colen cancer at Huntsman

My sister just had a round of lu177. Her cancer had spread so many places. What was interesting is that her treating oncologist has taken on the study for this treatment. She mentioned to him that I have advanced prostate cancer. He immediately jumped into a conversation with my MO about what is happening with this. I went to my visit prior to my chemo and the PA mentioned that this has been brought up to the GU board for investigation. Funny how one domino starts another. My fingers are crossed for possible clinical here!

For neuroendocrine colon cancer, they use Lu-177-DOTATATE (Luthera). For prostate cancer, they use Lu-177-PSMA-617 -- different radiopharmaceuticals. The ligand determines which cancer it is good for. The radio-emitter can be a number of different things.

Yep, that's what I am learning as well. However having a doctor immerse themselves in getting all the information they can and sharing it as well as the results that have come from the various trials is a big step. I know where I am at is on the leading edge, which gives me hope.
