Looks like my PSA bottomed out in June at 1.4. That was a couple months after I finished chemo. Last month it was up to 1.8. Today it was 4.3. Oof.

Will probably start Provenge in a couple weeks. Gleason 10 is no joke.

I'm glad it's the weekend.

Sh@@! Dam PSA! Gl 10 ain’t no joke. More tools needed maybe to get it turned around. I’m high on the fumes of no signs or PSA.. Realistically we all know how the nature of APC is a tenacious one..Good luck 🍀 So much of this is mental.. the whole PSA watching for life is a nightmare for us .Pray for the best..don’t plan for the worst. Take care TD!

Planning for the best. Last PSA 0.129. Retiring in 2 weeks. Lose current health ins. 11/30/18. Met with VA Thurs. They will pick up all my current meds for $32/mo. Good to see you still active and in the fight.

Great luck on retirement.. being self imployed for 25 yrs I retired when I got sick about 5 yrs ago.. No pension or retirement check Almost 4 yrs ago dx.. I did not have health insurance so I got the best blue cross blue shield.. scarey how rapidly my fair sized nest egg frittered away during these years.. Tubes out of back i qualified for ssdi until

They sent my 3yr review to another address . I didn’t receive it . So disability has dropped me.. I am not able to work like I did since 16 yrs old paying into SS the entire time.As of 1-18 no more savings and no income . Trying not to sell our home if we can avoid it.. I’ve been clear on scans and blood work for three years.. So APC results in Ill health and now poverty.. Happy to be alive and to not have Pc eating me up at the moment.. Ive had a few hard times and regrets before in my life.. But I had my strength ,wit and stamina to work hard and provide.. Now I’m swinging in the wind praying for something good to happen. Hope that grandcson is healthy and happy.. Peace to you and your lovely wife.. Scott🌵

What have you tried ? Zytega ? ADT? Chemo ? Xandi?

Hi. My whole story is in my profile.

I've been on Lupron, Zometa and Zytiga for a year now. I did 6 rounds of Docetaxel in the winter. PSA went from 634 to 92 before chemo, and down to 1.4 after.

I am disappointed but not really surprised. I was prepared to see PSA in the 2.X range.

But we get up and keep going.

I feel for you brother but I just want to add that in my experience, GS doesn't seem to make much difference. I started docetaxal in Dec 2017, after 6 shots I reached PSA nadir of 1.8 (May 2018). After 9 shots, PSA was back up to 4.6 (July 2018). So MO put me straight onto enzalutamide and after 2 months of enza my PSA was up to 10.9 (Sep 2018). And I was GS7. MO agrees with me that enza is not working for me and I start on LU177 trials asap.

OTOH a good friend of mine, GS9, got 4 years out of enza before his PCa became resistant to enza. Go figure.

Good luck and keep fighting.

why didn't u have radiation or surgery when your psa was 10 its amazing how many men on this site have not going with the above tx. pills aren't going to cure u even if it was possible

Fight and when you finish, keep fighting.

Have hope in your next treatment

gleason score only means if and when they find a tumor after tx it means shit. mine was around yours but why provenge your numbers are low and its mainly used for high psa's and if u were dieing your not even close so save it until u need it.

There is some evidence that Provenge works best when PSA is low.

prostate.net/articles/prove...

Though all evidence about Provenge seems a little iffy to me. But I'm still going to do it.

there is no Gleason score if u all ready have had tx. so relax to low for tx

so u didn't do surgery or radiation so what are u waiting for to spread more so there is no control wise up dude
