Hello all. We have returned from a 3 weeks travels around South America (Guyana, Brazil, Venezuela) It did hubby well, he had very little pain, he ate well and exercised a lot.

Upon return, he has new onset of pain, (boney mets stage 4) and alkaline phosphate levels are high, ( on Xfogia dose # 3, Xgeva and Trelstar) he has been fatigued and somewhat depressed.

Take time to enjoy life! Time slips away so quickly,

I'm glad to hear that the two of you enjoyed the vacation and that medical problems didn't interfere.

The treatment everyone is talking about these days is PSMA targeted Lu-177. There have been many posts about it on this group. I don't know if it will help or if you can get it but you might look it up.

I wish you both the best and hope that you have more good days to come.

My motto since diagnosis has been, "Got to have more fun." Interpret it how you wish. It works well for me.

Haha that's pretty much what are doing, as long as symptoms allow us.

My wife and I just spent 6 weeks in Spain. Traveling and recovery after is harder but well worth it. If he's depressed I'd ask "what is the next thing he's looking forward to?" I think it's critical to keep making plans and to have something planned for the future, whether it's something big or not.

That's what I have been doing planning and implementing activities. He has always been a busy body, a real "worker bee." So we head to Hawaii for Thankdgiving If all goes well. We have lots of local activities planned for summer.I am doing my best to keep us busy.

40 years together through thick and thin. We love each other, and even though we have had some tough times, we are in it for the long haul.

Yes indeed. We spent so many years working and planning for retirement and here we are. I am glad that I made sure we took time to have fun!
