So got first chemo Monday after my 1/23/18/ stage IV diagnoses with full complement of cocktails Zgeva inj. Diphenhydramine inj. Hydrocortisone sod succinate inj. Methyprednisoolne sod succ, inj. Dosetaxel inj. and finally Palonosetron hcl, inj. Leuprolide acetate inj. turned me into a dam pin cushion, Oh lets not forget blood draw first, but I actually feel great today, yesterday I my mouth was out of control with the steroid my wife kept telling me to shut up, but all better today the only other side effect so far is a sort pin prickly feeling on my skin at times but just barely noticeable, so not bad at all so far I know in time it will get worse but hopefully that is years away, only time will tell. good luck to all of you and keep it on the sunny side of the grass.

Strength and hardness

To bhr17, great humor is appreciated by me. A pin cushion ? I feel like the mad hatters chemistry project gone arye. . Apppreciate what life offers that is good. First rodeo , brother, not our last.. we know things can go south. Live and laugh today... A meteor could strike this earth any second . Hope I have a smile on my face if that day comes .... keeping a smile on during the bulls### of APC and not lamenting about the future is a start. I’ve put my wife thru drudgery since my dx , poor me, misery loves company. That wasn’t the path to peace. I learn thru error.. we have APC ...that it. ... live the best that we can... and be kind to those around us... they didn’t ask for this disease either.. Hope that you find peace of mind and live relatively pain free.. these are my goals as well.

Lulu700 I live 20 miles from the Meteor crater in Arizona so odds are if a meteor hits it will be far from this crater so I think I’ll be ok, 😬

Sunset crater? What if it’s as big as the earth? My point was to live for today because anything is possible.

I got your point just looking on the bright side and maybe just maybe out living this thing and ducking for cover from that meteor or the volcano that is in flagstaff Lol

It’s life with the big IF in the middle. You will persevere.

Just concentrate on eating well, drinking lots of clean water and getting thru these treatments and symptoms. Takes time to heal. Good luck...

Good luck with your remaining chemo rounds. Hope you get through them relatively easily. Keep us posted.

When you are all finished with the chemo and things settle down a little, perhaps you can celebrate with caregiver(s) and friends and splurge on a nice dinner at The Turquoise Room at the historic La Posada Hotel in Winslow, Arizona.

Blood draw? I kind of wonder where the lab that does my blood draws gets their work force since they always seem to take some extra - for their lunch, maybe?
