Forever young

In 1996 I had a blood test that showed a PSA of 8. Unfortunately my doctor said, Get a biopsy in six months. The biopsy was negative. 2 years later my PSA went from 8 to 13.5. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. A second biopsy showed 2 large tumors in my prostate. My new doctor immediately administered radiation seeding and 30 days of beam radiation. I was cancer free for 5 years when my PSA started to rise. I was put on Lupron and had normal PSA for another 5 years when the Lupron stopped working. I opted for testicular surgery. Had normal PSA for another 5 years when my PSA elevated to 43. I was given 9 treatments of chemotherapy. I was very fortunate to have minimal side effects, (fingernails turned black). Psa returned to normal for 2 months. I am now on enzalutimide and my PSA is normal, 0.13. I am now 75 years young, doing my GIGong and Tai Chi. Running and lifting weights every day. Fishing, hunting, hiking and looking and feeling 40. Going on a 10 day cruise to Alaska with my daughter in a couple of months.. Don't know how much longer I have but I'm enjoying whatever the rest of my life gives me. Every day is a gift. Thank God and God bless the Veterans hospital for keeping me alive.
