after reading some of the posts on here this morning regarding anti-oxidants and turmeric supplements....I'm confused, amused and bewildered...and feeling like I finally get the expression my Mom was so fond of using. I feel "damned if I do and damned if I don't." I had my chiropractor mention stem cell therapy (for pain issues) and asked if I would like to go go a seminar about it. He even said that he wasn't sure if it was a good idea with my "condition". Seems like the more you know...the less you know. Does anyone know anything about using stem cell therapy?
P.S. photo is from a year ago BEFORE my beard fell out from Lupron....(sad face).
P.P.S. when I was describing the "joys of Lupron/Castration" to my chiropractor...he asked...but "how long do you have to do it?" ~~OY, when I said...not sure...but "as long as I live" is what it seems like...even he looked SAD ! ! !

Stem cell transplants do not usually work against cancer directly. Instead, they help you recover your ability to produce stem cells after treatment with very high doses of radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or both.
However, in multiple myeloma and some types of leukemia, the stem cell transplant may work against cancer directly.
Regarding all the conflicting advice about diets, supplements, etc. I think those kinds of things have to be kept in perspective. They are small effects in relationship to the large effects of primary treatment. I'm not saying they don't help, just that they need to put into perspective. These adjuncts to treatment are not going to provide significant results and as long as you don't expect that, it's good. Doing things to improve your overall health is always a positive. That's my opinion.
So it sounds like that after being on lupon for almost a year and having just finished my 4 months of Taxotere, it might be a good idea to do this. I was hoping that it might help with some of the pain in my muscles and joints. Has anyone any experience with it helping with joint and muscle pain from the lupon? It is rather expensive. They quoted approximately $3400 for the treatment.
I got to where I couldn’t pickup my rob in the morning. Doctor recommended glucosamine twice a day. After 2 months it’s a lot better, can pick up my arms and sleep 😀😀😀😀
the main reason PCa comes back is because the cancer stem cells are resistant to almost all treatment. What effect would stem cell therapy have on cancer stem cells...same is true for telomeres ....would telomere therapy aid the cancer cell which depends on telomere length

Good lookin photo , but what’s that pokin in your left ear?? Turmeric is great. I eat a lot daily. Follow your own best interest .What works for one may not work for another. Enjoy life as it is..
