Seeking Medical and Radiation Oncologists in Atlanta area

We moved north of Atlanta and are looking for a medical oncologist who strictly treats prostate cancer. Would like to find a closer radiation oncologist as well.

Yes, thank you. You recommended Dr. Burgess in Charlotte for the PSMA scan. That's about a 3 hour drive so I am hoping for someone closer to Atlanta. Please keep them coming.

I called the contact person for the Lut177 study and the cost was discouraging. It will probably be FDA approved before long but look how long it took for HIFU. She did mention that the Galium scan wasn't absolutely necessary which would save us the $4500.

I thought I earlier gave you the info on Dr. Vasily Assikis of the Piedmont Cancer Institute in Atlanta. He has treated me in combination with Dr. Charles Myers (and now with Dr. Oliver Sartor) for the past 5 1/2 years.

You will be hard pressed to find a Med Onc in Atlanta who specializes only in prostate cancer.

Emory Winship's named prostate cancer Med Onc is Dr. Omar Kuchuk, but I have no personal knowledge of him.

Emory is building a proton facility, but it is not yet open.

Yes you did and Thanks For the names. I have a small list to research. We see a new urologist today and will get his referrals as well. This urologist has pca himself and wrote a best selling book about decision making with pca.
