My husband has stage 4 prostate cancer which has metastasized to the bone. He was diagnosed in 2015. His most recent treatment was docetaxal which lowered his psa for about 3 months. This week, he starts Jevtana which I hope he can tolerate. He still suffers with some neuropathy in both hands and feet. Recently, he's been complaining about a severe headache which he's had almost daily. It does improve if he takes something very strong like hydrocodone. His last bone scan showed no change, but I'm afraid the problem is much deeper. Has anyone had a similar experience with headache pain?

About 2 years before my husband was diagnosed with PC he had severe headaches that sent him to the Emergency Room several times in a year. At the time the Dr ran all kinds of tests on him and everything always came back normal. The neurologist diagnosed him with cluster headaches and prescribed gabapentin. The headaches minimized in pain. Finaly he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, had prostatectomy and his headaches went away. When the cancer came back he experienced the headaches about every 3 months but not as severe.
I hope this helps.
The best to you and your husband.
Sincerely,
Erika.
Hi - just wondering if you received any answers to the cause of the severe headache? My father in law has stage 4 prostate cancer but his PSA is only 24. For the past three months he has had severe headaches and constant vomiting. He has had Eligard shots and right now that is his only treatment. Last scan shows no metastasis to the brain - just the pelvic bones and lower abdomen.
