If you had two or more biopsies, how did your Gleason score change? Consider Gleason scores as "levels:" 6, 7(3+4), 7(4+3), 8, 9, 10.

Unless someone is on active surveillance, why would anyone have more than one positive biopsy? I had 3 biopsies - the first two were negative; after the third was positive, I got treatment.

I had one biopsy and 4 DIFFERENT opinions first -- 4+3=7 and second -- 4+5=9 both pre surgery and then I got the final pathology report from the surgeon 4+4=8 post surgery --
I also had a gene test done by Polaris and they said I was "low intermediate". Apparently It is all in the eye of the beholder.
Thinking that our decisions could depend on this scores....
Very interesting poll! There is the idea now that tumours are "born" with a certain Gleason score. Now the problem to validate this idea (apart that we have mostly different tumors with different Gleason scores, but assuming that we take just the highest for the Gleason score) are : a) the same biopsy can be evaluated differently, b) a random biopsy is as the name says "random", so to know if Gleason scores changes or not we should have MRI guided biopsies with well determined locations.
My vote was inaccurate due to lack of choice. (I had two biopsies. My Gleason score rose one level.)
With PSA @ 330 and bone and lymph mets showing with bone scan and CTscan, my first Biopsy was undetectable, the second targeted Biopsy was G7 (3/4?)

My father had 2 biopsies and the Gleason Score actually dropped by 2 levels.
He was diagnosed with a Gleason 9 (5+4) but after radical prostatectomy it was declared to be in truth a Gleason 7 (4+3).
