I started the process of right to choose ADHD referral- I thought I was getting somewhere until today I received this reply.
re your ADHD referral, unfortunately I can not see the ADHD questionnaire replies that Dr Sumrein requested and he is no longer with us.The process for adult ADHD assessment has also recently been updated. Due to a resource constraints they are only accepting patients whose suspected ADHD symptoms are severe enough to cause a significant impact on their life (e.g out of work, breakdown of relationships) and there is a long waiting list for assessment (upto 2 years)
I wondered if this is accurate?
Many thanks in advance

Getting through an ADHD diagnosis is like winning the Hunger Games. It's like someone decided to create the most challenging process for the ADHD brain. It's frustrating and infuriating.Good luck and keep at it.
sounds like you are in the uk (as am I) as you mentioned right to choose. It sounds like there is some kind of admin issue in terms of the missing questionaire which means an assessment of the severity is missing. Right to choose waiting lists have been a couple of years for a while now and probably growing. If I’m uk you have the option (if you have the means) to get assessed privately, but even those waits are growing. Good luck
just had a peek at the right to choose website and it’s saying 6 months wait (but with gp referral) so if you haven’t done so I’d suggest going to your gp with all your symptoms and the referral documents and get on the list.
