Bupropion - has anyone had success on this for ADHD?

After failed trials on methylphenidate (worked wonders for three months, now my tolerance is insanely high), Vyvanse and Atomoxetine, my doctor is now seeing how I fare on bupropion/Wellbutrin. It’s to be taken in combination with Guanfacine, which has been great for sensory overload but terrible for mood and motivation.

If anyone has been on it, I’d love to hear what your experiences were.

I have been on Wellbutrin for a few months now, I take it in the morning and have noticed an improvement in my mood and motivation throughout my day! Hope this helps!

I am a 33 yo woman recently diagnosed...have been on it for a couple months (along with Adderall, then switching to Mydayis) and don’t see any improvement in my ADHD symptoms. I stopped taking the Wellbutrin because of it, and because after losing my job and insurance, I can only afford medication that is effective for me.

yes I have aspergers and hyperfocus buy it keeps me happy and still be a man if u know what I mean they thought I had ADD too I also have two alzheimers genes

Hi! I`ve been on Wellbutrin for 3 months now and I see great improvement in focus, motivation, inhibition response. I´ve finished my to do lists and stop procrastinating 15 days later with 150 mg. About mood, I`m not sure. I also have OCD and doesn´t work at all, but it might work for you.

Generic Bupropion, didn’t work for me. Wellbutrin-brand worked much better.

Hello Hovi!Im considering a generic of Bupropion SR . I want to try it to lessen my neuropathic pain and help my mood.

Im in the U.S.

A brand i want to take is called Sandoz.

Is this the generic that didnt work for you?

Ive been reading reviews about all the different generics online. People seem to think this is a good generic

I have been taking it for over 5 years and it still helps me. I started taking it when none of the ssri antidepressants worked and it was honestly my life saver. Shortly after starting the bupropion is when I was diagnosed with ADHD. Reading into the uses of bupropion is what prompted me to mention to my mental health worker that I felt as though I had many ADHD symptoms. My experience has been very positive.

I am on 54 mg of Methylphenidate. It seems you are having a difficult time trying to get the right medicine without some of the side effects. I wish I could be more helpful? I have a good listelning ear.
