What are some hobbies I could do to pass my time during the day? Does vitamin d effect behaviors when there is a deficiency?

Vit D affects a lot of things and its important to keep your levels on the high side. Who are you? Likes and dislikes. In order to give you any answers you need to tell us a little about yourself, I'm not a mind reader!

I am 18 year old who has a history of ADHD. Due to my impulsive behaviors in school and at home, I suffer the consequences daily by not being in a classroom environment and attending district tutoring in the evening. All my life I had social anxiety when I feel awkward in social situations and situations that require life skills. Back in November 2019 I had a vitamin d deficiency of 11 ng/ml, I drink tons of milk since then. But I need to be in the sun or get a supplement of 2,000 IU.

I like currency collecting and studying history of stamps. Stuff like Spanish civil war to the AIDS epidemic era. I studied the moon landing era as well. As far as currency collecting goes I am looking for a 1869 $ 1 legal tender

Are you able to volunteer any? If you are interested in the AIDS epidemic, maybe you could see if there is a nearby center for people living with HIV/AIDS that you can help out at (or any other organization whose purpose interests you). If you are unable to leave the house, maybe there is an organization that could use help remotely (i.e. doing research on target demographics, digital filing, creating flyers or web content, copy editing, etc). If so, I would be up front about what challenges you, but it can be a great way to learn social skills. Working in office settings helped me learn how to have "default" social behaviors (i.e. standard greetings, what conversation topics to avoid, being polite regardless of my mood, talking on the phone, and even asking for forgiveness for my blunders but in a professional manner).

If you need more sun, maybe start going on walks (if you have a place to do so safely). You could even turn it into a game by trying to find something on every walk (i.e. a sign to make a pun about or an architectural feature on a building). Or Geocaching, if that's set up near you. Then, you get sunlight, exercise, and a hobby all in one.

I find vitamin D is important to my mood; I tend to feel worse in the winter when I can't be out in the sun as much. The best way to describe it for me is less of a behavioral change and more of an increase in my depression symptoms.

In terms of hobbies I'm gonna suggest you get out in the sun as much as you can! Since you seem to have a lot of interest in history, maybe you would enjoy reenactment-type things? Not battles necessarily, but like those living history places where you can wander around and take tours and stuff.
