Tiny bumps all over face

Hello,

I desperately need help with my skin. I am 22 years old and struggling with active acne (pustules, whiteheads, blackheads), PIE as well as this textured skin that looks like tiny bumps all over my face.

The bumps started in April 2018 when my menstrual cycle changed. I went to my gynecologist to get everything checked but she assured me that my hormones are fine.

Ever since then I tried a lot of things. No dermatologist or esthetician could help me. Chemical peels, microdermabrasion, expensive skin care,... nothing helped. I also tried just giving my skin time to recover and to repair the skin barrier by sticking to a simple skincare routine. My skin also does not react to any treatment option for fungal acne like ketoconazol or sulfur.

I am at a point where I really do not know what to do anymore. Taking a pill would be the last option. I tried to keep my body healthy by working out and eating well.

Current Routine: (for one month now)

- morning: Simple Cleanser, Simple Moisturizer, Eye Cream, CeraVe Sunscreen

- evening: Cleansing Oil, Simple Cleanser, Urea Cream

I use benzoyl peroxide 3 % up to three times a week, leaving it on for about 15 minutes and rinsing it off. I try to do blue LED light for 20 minutes as often as possible.

Any tips are highly appreciated! Thank you for your help!

Being a young woman I would imagine that your hormones could be affected, apparently evening primrose oil capsules can help you, my daughter has a skin condition which is a genetic disorder, so sometimes these things can run in the family, there's that many reasons why your skin has broken out, rest assured that it's not terrible, try not to squeeze any otherwise you could cause more damage and leave scars, I've heard dairy products can cause the sebum to block the pores and that's when the spots become yellow /pus, I understand how you feel and know doubt you will have friends who have blemish free skin, I know that there is powerful tablets normally prescribed by the hospital dermatology department, but they can cause quite severe side effects, and to put more medicines into your body may not be helpful, there's a good chance that you'll grow out of this passing phase and your skin will settle down, or perhaps speak to the doctor and they may put you on a low dose of antibiotics for a few months, sorry its not a perfect answer, don't let it get you down, speak with your parents, after all they were young once, good luck, thanks.

Hi! I'm very glad I found your post, because I have the same issue. For me it started one year ago after I stopped having birth controll pills. My doctor sent me to various kind of test, and it seem like everything is fine: no hormonal issues, no food allergy, all my results are in the healthy range. I do regular work out, have proper vitamins, I don't eat sugar, white flour, greasy food and dairy, I drink enough water, I use good quality skin care products.. so I feel like I do everyhing I can. The products my dermatologist prescribed didn't work, neither anything else. My skin looks exactly the same as yours on the picture. I wonder: did you find the solution :) ? If so, could you please share the secret with me? I feel really helpless by now.
